And when new details about Lisa's death come to light, Quincy's life becomes a race against time as she tries to unravel Sam's truths from her lies, evade the police and hungry reporters, and, most crucially, remember what really happened at Pine Cottage, before what was started ten years ago is finished.

It was something enticing about this book, I can’t quite figure out when and what captivated me but I came in the end to rate it something high. I can’t deny a mystery thriller so I bumped into Sager and now I am on a roll with his second book. “Final girls” was the epitome of a suspenseful, thrilling, shocking story, but it wasn’t short on frustrating. And yes, maybe it wasn’t the best after all and the beginning was slow and the main character naïve, but I liked it. There are some twists that keep you guessing and the final nail in the mystery of the killings is kind of rusty but makes for an OK ending.
